Why Install A Bosch Heat Pump?

Balanced Comfort is a Platinum Bosch air conditioning and heat pump installer.  We have installed more Bosch systems than anyone else in the Central Valley (Tech Clean California data).

Bosch heat pump systems are advanced air conditioning and heat pump systems are highly efficient in summer and winter.

Bosch has been making heat pumps since 1975. Here are reasons why you'd want a Bosch system in your home.

  • Quiet Comfort

Bosch inverter split systems and packaged units are the quietest heat pump systems on the market.

This system uses silent blade technology, and sound isolating mounts, to deliver outdoor sound levels as low as 56 dBA - which is much better than any standard system on the market.

  • Energy Saving

Bosch's heat pump systems can provide you with the perfect temperature while using less energy.

This system will only deliver the amount of hot or cold air needed to reach the desired temperature, so you'll save on your energy bill.

  • Fast Response

Traditional systems take a long time to reach the temperature you want. Inverter technology works faster and can ramp down smoothly to consistently heat and cool your home.

  • Consistent Temperature

Conventional systems turn on and off frequently, which can make your home uncomfortable.

Inverter-driven heat pumps can adjust, so the room temperature is consistent. This helps especially when the outdoor temperature climbs over 100 degrees.

  • Run Steady

The Bosch Inverter system avoids spikes in energy use and protects the system’s life-cycle by smoothly ramping up operation. This is done by avoiding the frequent on and off of traditional units.

  • Residential Limited Warranty

The residential limited warranty offers you peace of mind by providing 10 years of warranty. This covers all components that are incorporated into the heat pump system at the time it is manufactured.

Air Conditioning Systems - Know Your Options

When it comes to picking out a new air conditioning system, Balanced Comfort is here to help you find the ideal AC system for your home.

There are multiple types of air conditioning systems to choose from, learn more about each type below.

A heat pump looks just like any other air conditioning system.  It can be a packaged or split system.  The difference is that a heat pump has a device (a reversing valve) that changes the direction of the flow of refrigerant.

Typical air conditioning systems absorb heat inside the home and reject it outside.  A heat pump system absorbs heat outside and transfers it inside.  Switching between Air Conditioning and Heating (via the heat pump) occurs automatically and is controlled by the thermostat.

Heat pumps can be used to heat a building in the winter or to cool it in the summer. In the winter, the heat pump extracts heat from the outside air and delivers it inside. In the summer, it extracts heat from the inside air and delivers it outside.

Packaged units are air conditioners or heat pumps contained in one unit, installed outside the building often on the roof.

It includes the condenser coil, compressor, evaporator coil, and fan.

Caution should be taken when installing packaged units on the roof to ensure that the roof remains weatherproofed and that the unit is properly sealed to the piece of metal that connects the packaged unit to the ductwork.

A split AC system has two parts: an indoor unit and an outdoor unit.

The indoor unit is typically installed in the home, in a closet, crawlspace, or attic.  The outdoor unit is installed in a location outside of the home.

The two units are connected by a tubing system that transfers the refrigerant from inside to outside and back again.

This type of heat pump system does not require ductwork.

The indoor and outdoor units are connected by refrigerant lines, similar to a split AC system and the cooled or heated air is generated directly in the room.

This type of system is very efficient and can be used in both homes and businesses. These are ideal for installing in hard-to-reach places but are more complex to install than a central system with ductwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a seer rating?

A seer rating is a number that tells you how efficient an air conditioner is. The higher the seer rating, the more efficient the air conditioner. Central air conditioners typically have seer ratings of 13 or higher. If you're looking for an energy-efficient air conditioner, based on the size of your home, look for one with a seer rating of 15 or higher.

When you're considering an air conditioning install, be sure to ask about the seer rating of the unit you're interested in. A high seer rating can lead to significant savings on your energy bill, so it's worth paying attention to. Central air conditioners with a seer rating of 16 or higher are available, but they may come at a higher upfront cost.

If you're not sure what seer rating you need, our team can help you choose an air conditioner that's right for your home and budget. Give us a call today to learn more!

How can I determine the seer rating for my home?

The initial step is finding out which region you live in. The Department of Energy (DOE) has established minimum SEER ratings for each climate zone, and these are as follows:

- Zone 1: 13

- Zone 2: 14

- Zone 3: 15

- Zone 4: 16

Once you know your climate zone, you can determine the minimum SEER rating required for your home. For example, if you live in Zone 2, the minimum SEER rating required would be 14.

If you’re not sure which climate zone you live in, you can use this DOE map to find out. Just enter your zip code and it will tell you which climate zone you’re in.

What is the average lifespan of an air conditioning unit?

The average lifespan of an air conditioning unit is 10-15 years. However, units with a seer rating of 16 or higher may last longer. If you're considering an upgrade to a more energy-efficient unit, it's worth considering one with a high seer rating to get the most bang for your buck.

Contact Balanced Comfort for maintenance plans to keep your air conditioning system running efficiently all year round!

How often should I have my air conditioning unit serviced?

It's generally recommended that you have your air conditioner serviced once a year. This helps ensure that it's running efficiently and can help prevent costly repairs down the road. If you notice any issues with your air conditioner, be sure to call a professional for help. Waiting too long to service your unit can shorten its lifespan.

Depending on the type of central A/C you have will vary in installation costs. Some units will have an outdoor condensing unit which is more prone to environmental damage, which needs proper maintenance for your home improvement. These are known as split systems as opposed to a packaged unit normally set on top of your home.

What are the benefits of a higher SEER rating?

A higher seer rating on your air conditioner install can lead to several benefits. Most notably, a higher seer rating will result in lower energy bills. This is because a higher seer rating means that your air conditioner is more efficient. In addition, a higher seer rating may also mean that your air conditioner lasts longer. Thus, it is important to consider a higher seer rating when you are installing a new central air conditioner.

Why is it important to have my air conditioning installation done by a professional?

There are many reasons to make sure that your air conditioning installation is done by a professional. One of the most important reasons is that they will be able to properly seal and insulate your unit. This will help it to run more efficiently and keep your home comfortable.

Another reason to use a professional for your air conditioning installation is, they will have the knowledge and experience to properly size your unit. If your unit is too small, it will not be able to cool your home effectively and could end up costing you more money in the long run. On the other hand, if your unit is too large, it will cycle on and off too frequently and waste energy, driving up your utility bills.

A professional air conditioner installer will also be able to properly connect your unit to your ductwork, ensuring that the air is being distributed evenly throughout your home. They will also be able to troubleshoot any problems that may arise during or after installation.

Overall, installing an air conditioner is a complex task that is best left to a professional. Hiring a professional air conditioner installer will give you peace of mind knowing that your unit has been installed correctly and will help you save money in the long run.

How can I ensure that my air conditioning installation is done properly?

One of the best ways to ensure that your air conditioning installation is done properly is to hire a professional installer. While there are many air conditioner installers in Fresno, CA finding the right company to get the job done can be difficult.

At Balanced Comfort we can guarantee you 100% satisfaction! It’s important that you get multiple estimates and check references before hiring anyone. Be sure to ask about any warranties and guarantees that they offer.

No matter who installs your air conditioner, be sure to have regular maintenance checks performed. This will help ensure that your air conditioner lasts for many years.
